Nemaxin (Entomopathogenic nematodes) considered to be potential biological control agents against root grubs and the use of EPN has now become an integral part of insect pest management. Entomopathogenic nematodes have been developed as biocontrol agents on a commercial level for the control root grubs. Effective control of insect pests especially white grubs and completely non toxic and safe to the environment. It helps in good root growth by killing root damaging insects and which in turn helps the plant for better absorption of water and nutrients from the soil resulting in good luxuriant growth and better yields

  • Mode of Action

    The beneficial neamtodes, present in the product Nemaxin (15000 IJs/gram) is a water dispersible formulation. Nemaxin controls the white grubs, by penetrating into its body through the natural openings & releasing the infective bacteria that multiply and kills the root grub. Infected grubs turn red and can be differentiated from live grubs

  • Method of Application

    Method of application:

    • Nemaxin should be applied at first beetle emergence during onset of summer shower (April – June)
    • It should be applied during the evening, Irrigate the field prior and after Nemaxin application and keeping the treated area wet for at least 5days post application. It helps the nematodes active with more effectively.
    • Thoroughly Mix the Nemaxin powder formulation with 100 kg soil or FYM and broadcast in the field before showing or transplanting the seedlings.
